Recently, UBTECH and Hitachi (China) Ltd. entered into a strategic cooperation agreement.Closely aligning with the pivotal trends of intelligent transformation and upgrading within China's manufacturing sector, and focusing on the urgent demands for flexible production and enhanced efficiency, the two parties will jointly explore the application of humanoid robots in smart manufacturing environments, thereby empowering the industry to achieve high-quality development.

Under the terms of this agreement, the two parties will engage in deep collaboration across various fields where Hitachi Group has established industry expertise—including elevators, building systems, healthcare, industrial equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. By fully leveraging UBTECH’s technological strengths in humanoid robotics alongside Hitachi’s extensive experience in smart manufacturing and systems integration, they will jointly develop intelligent solutions tailored to diverse production scenarios.

Currently, the collaboration between the two parties has entered a substantive validation phase. Hitachi has already introduced UBTECH’s industrial-grade humanoid robot, Walker S2, into select manufacturing environments, working alongside UBTECH to advance on-site operational testing and application scenario validation. Focusing specifically on smart manufacturing scenarios within the elevator sector, the Hitachi China Research Institute has partnered with UBTECH and Hitachi Elevator to conduct in-depth secondary development for humanoid robot applications directly on the Hitachi Elevator manufacturing floor.

Through collaborative technological innovation, they aim to achieve breakthroughs in critical processes, thereby realizing flexible, intelligent workflows and seamless data integration across the entire production chain. With its high precision and exceptional adaptability, the Walker S2   meets the rigorous demands of high-end manufacturing, serving as a pioneering example of how Robotics + Smart Manufacturing can empower the development of new productive forces.

This collaboration aims to accelerate the deployment and application of humanoid robots within the smart manufacturing sector by establishing demonstration use cases, thereby driving the implementation and promotion of Humanoid Robot Smart Manufacturing Solutions. Concurrently, both parties will conduct joint research focused on the practical application and mass production of humanoid robots. By continuously uncovering new value within smart manufacturing environments, they seek to assist China's manufacturing industry in its transition toward intelligent operations, foster the development of new quality productive forces, and consistently inject fresh momentum into the industry's intelligent transformation.

As the first publicly listed humanoid robotics company, UBTECH  is dedicated to continuously driving the practical application and mass delivery of humanoid robots, accelerating the global commercialization of humanoid robotics. In 2025, the company's total revenue exceeded 2 billion RMB—ranking it first globally among humanoid robot companies—while revenue from full-sized embodied intelligent humanoid robots (defined as non-remote-controlled, non-toy robots standing over 160 cm tall) reached 820 million RMB.

With sales totaling 1,079 units, this category ranked first globally and emerged as the company's primary source of revenue. Throughout the year, over 1,000 full-sized embodied intelligent humanoid industrial robots  were delivered and revenue recognized; these units were primarily deployed across industrial scenarios—accounting for over 80% of sales—including automotive manufacturing, smart logistics, 3C electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, and industrial data acquisition.
