A Brief Introduction

Established in March 2012, UBTECH ROBOTICS CORP LTD is a leading humanoid robots and smart service robots company. On 29 December, 2023, we were listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code: 9880.HK).

Dedicated to the mission of 'bringing intelligent robots into every family, and making everyday life more convenient and intelligent', we have developed a full stack of humanoid robotic technologies independently. Building on our full-stack technologies, UBTECH has engaged in the research and development, design, smart production, and commercialization of embodied intelligent humanoid robots.

UBTECH is among the few global leaders in full-stack humanoid robot technologies, including humanoid decision-making and interaction technology, humanoid motion control technology, and humanoid hardware technology.

Our humanoid decision-making and interaction technology is a combination of Thinker, a self-developed and open-source embodied AI large model which has ranked 1st in 9 authoritative international benchmarks and gives us a foundation for physical AI; Thinker-VLA, a VLA model with a feedback loop; Thinker-WM, a self-developed world model for industrial embodied humanoid robots.

Based on these technologies, we are able to introduce the iterative BrainNet 2.0 and our proprietary Co-Agent technology, the first agent for industrial humanoid robots in the world, to bring humanoid robots swarm intelligence.

Our humanoid motion control technology is a combination of whole-body tele-operation, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and classical control, enabling humanoid robots to move swifter and more agile.

Our humanoid hardware technology includes a human-like binocular stereo vision perception technology, high-performance servo actuators, human-like five-finger dexterous hands, and the world-first autonomous hot-swappable battery swap system. The vision perception system brings a high visual precision (99.5% accuracy rate, higher than RGBD cameras) to humanoid robots. The servo actuators contains three self-developed types of joints, which are harmonic rotary, planetary rotary, and planetary linear ones. The five-finger dexterous hands bring humanoid robots sub-millimeter-level precision of manipulation. With the battery swap system, a humanoid robot can realize 3-minute autonomous battery swapping, leading to a future of 24/7 continuous operation for humanoid robots.

Furthermore, we introduced ROSA 2.0 and the Robot Management Cloud Platform, bringing a full-chain supportive platform for the development of the algorithms for humanoid robots in terms of motion control, decision making, and interaction, etc.

As of December 2025, UBTECH held 2,985 granted patents, among which 1742 are invention patents and 508 are from overseas, ranking first globally in valid humanoid robot patents. We also led the draft of 53 industrial standards in smart robots and AI, including 6 national standards for humanoid robots.

UBTECH pioneers the deployment of humanoid robots globally in three scenarios, including industrial manufacturing, commercial services, and household companionship. UBTECH is the only humanoid robot company to announce partnerships with multiple vehicle companies in the world, and our industrial humanoid robot Walker S series have entered most of the production line of vehicle companies. In November 2025, Walker S2 began mass production and delivery.

In 2025, UBTECH ranked 1st globally in revenue and sales volume (820M RMB, 1079 units, comparing to financial statements publicly disclosed by peer companies) from full-sized embodied intelligent humanoid robots (non-remote-controlled, and ≥160cm in height). Over 80% of these products were deployed in automotive manufacturing, smart logistics, 3C electronics manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, aircraft manufacturing and industrial data collection. A number of our clients are among the top global companies. We have also sold the most non-embodied intelligent humanoid robots (12579 units, 62.2% more than previous year) in 2025.

2025

We conducted the first collaborative practical training program for humanoid robots in the world, where multiple humanoid robots collaborated across multi-task, multi-scenario industrial environments.

We launched Walker S2, our latest generation of industrial humanoid robots.

Three units of Walker S2, representing Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, and Macau, struck eight bronze chime bells at the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games of China.

We began the mass production and delivery of Walker S2.

Our robotic industrial design center was selected as the fifth batch of China national industrial design centres.

We launched the second generation of Walker Robot.

2018

We developed the first generation of humanoid robot, Walker.

Our total production of servo actuators reached one million units.

We were awarded the 20th China Patent Gold Award.

2017

We launched and commenced scale commercialization of our general smart robotic product, Cruzr, and solutions segment.

We were ranked in CB Insights' 'AI 100' list, a list of the 100 most promising private AI start-ups across the globe.

Our Alpha2 Robot and Jimu Robot were awarded the Innovation Awards in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Our Education Alpha 1X Robot won the New York Design Award.

2016

540 units of our Alpha Robots performed simultaneously at China Central Television' s Spring Festival Gala ('Spring Festival Gala'), one of the most watched national network television broadcasts in the world, and the performance was registered as a Guinness World Record in 2016.

2015

Our Alpha Robot was exhibited in the China Hi-Tech Fair.

We organized the 17th National Robotics Championship and the 6th International Humanoid Robotics Olympiad.

2014

We successfully developed and produced our first small sized humanoid robot, Alpha Robot.

2012
